Operation Black Lantern | Direct Action Raid | Arma 3
Three days earlier the VLA had launched a surprise offensive across the DMZ, seized several NATO outposts, and forced a rapid withdrawal from the southern Vidda corridor—breaking the ceasefire and prompting NATO to scramble to stabilize the front as retaliation began. Intelligence had identified Colonel Eirik Nyström, the architect of the offensive, operating from a fortified hunting lodge and coordinating VLA logistics and communications; removing him was judged likely to disrupt their momentum. Echo was to infiltrate VLA-held territory at 2300 hours to locate and eliminate Nyström in order to degrade enemy command and retaliate for the breach. The mission went awry as we had to generate our own intel during the mission and the conditions kept changing constantly.
