In this video, I discuss my YouTube endscreen strategy and demonstrate my layout and selections of elements and the thought that went into it from a strategic point of view. Basically, I feel the subscribe endscreen element offered by Youtube sucks because it is just a picture of your channel avatar in a circle. How the hell does that indicate for a viewer to subscribe!? It doesn't even say the word subscribe! So I got rid of that even though most channels use it. Instead, I created a video whose thumbnail says "subscribe" really big and linked that video in the bottom right. This will literally tell the viewer to subscribe point blank. Next, I listed a link to my website for my main project, the robot. Finally, I created links to my most recent video and my best video for viewer - which is selected by YouTube. The logic behind those is pretty straightforward. The most recent video is important to throw traffic at just to get its view numbers off the ground. It also tells people what I'm up to. The best video for viewer is important since they might only be interested in electronics related videos so Youtube will show them just that. It is more likely to be catered to their interests just in case the most recent video is not - so this is a catch all to keep them on my channel a bit longer, hopefully racking up a higher chance of a new subscriber acquisition or a thumbs up vote and more views. I hope my strategies here help someone else!
