You can easily and consistently freeze your food and store it to prevent it from spoiling without any advanced materials. I start off with a Great Hall design and connect it to a vacuum room that your Duplicants can wander into for maintenance if required, and we then set up a Thermo Aquatuner and some Ice Makers to handle the cooling.
