Out of This Furnace marker event September 28, 2023
On September 28, 2023 in Braddock, Pa the Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission dedicated a historical marker to the novel "Out of This Furnace" by Thomas Bell. The novel is based in Braddock, PA and focuses on three generations of families who worked in the steel mills. Dignitaries, Woodland Hills school district students and staff, and academics gathered for the marker dedication followed by speeches.
