Denham Springs after the Flood
I went to Denham Springs with my brother to pick up furniture from his in-laws on August 23, 2016. This is footage from a couple of streets in a single neighborhood. The water in this neighborhood went above the mailboxes. Many were clipped by rescue boats. Each pile represents the gutted contents of someone’s home. An estimated 90% of the structures in Denham Spring flooded. It’s heartbreaking.
