Blessed is the man who’s found,
Not in wicked’s way or ground,
Nor in sinners’ paths around,
He’s crowned.
He finds joy in God’s pure law,
Meditates both day and night,
In His word, he takes delight,
In awe.
Like a tree by waters pure,
Planted firm and yielding fruit,
In due season, leaves are lush,
Secure.
Prospering in all he tries,
But the wicked are not so,
Blown like chaff where winds will go,
They fly.
In judgment, they will not stand,
Nor with righteous join or sit,
God protects the righteous band,
By hand.
Wicked paths will fade away,
Righteous paths are known to God,
In His care, they are beloved,
They stay.
