Guppies are not known to lay eggs. Guppies give birth to live fry and are known as livebearers. At any given time, the mother guppy gives birth to 20-60 fry. They normally give birth every 30 days until they reach the age of 2-2.5 years... The guppy fry begins swimming almost immediately, attempting to find a hiding place in the aquarium.
