Pimax Crystal Light - First Impressions
I thought I'd share some initial impressions on the new Pimax Crystal Light. It's too early to call this a review, I've barely had a few hours playtime. However I can tell you all what I like and love about this headset, along with things that could do with some improvement.
The headset comes fully assembled with a wall wart for a power supply. This is plugged into the headset cable and the two ends are then plugged into a DisplayPort and USB3 port respectively. Set this up and then power on your PC before installing PimaxPlay.
To make use of some of the performance benefits of OpenXR we'll need to install this unofficial utility, PimaxXR. Open it up after downloading from GitHub and running the installer and you'll need to default it to PimaxXR. We'll then use this to run IRacing, or if the game doesn't natively support OpenXR we can try using Open Composite.
