Hendrix style jam with a Foxrox Captain Coconut 2
Just some Hendrixian noodling for guitar people. My lick vocab is pretty limited but I felt this was OK enough to put out there. Starts out a little rough but gets a bit better a few minutes in.
I've always loved the Uni Vibe era sound and try to emulate it as best as I can. I'm using a Captain Coconut 2 here. This is actually one of the first times I've been able to make it sound like it's supposed to. I'm playing a Gibson with a humbucker here but a strat would obviously be more authentic. I don't own a strat though.
There's plenty of flubs since this is all off the top of my head in the spirit of how he might've done things. The things he did with his right hand is probably beyond whatever ability I might have but that's what made him so great. It's taken me a long time to get to this point, whatever that may be.
Signal chain is sort of convoluted here, I have all sorts of weird things happening that probably don't even make sense so just take the clip for what it is - some middle aged dude playing guitar.
