QGIS is the leading open source geographic information systems (GIS) software. One of the the software's strengths is its ability to work with a wide range of data formats, including various forms of satellite remotely sensed data. This 2 minute tutorial explains how to download and prepare soils data from the Web Soil Survey website using LibreOffice. Soils data is often used by archaeologists for predictive modeling, contextualizing site environment, and so forth. This video uses QGIS Latest Release version 3.12.
