Using White 200, Mc 6
R1: Inc x6 [12]
R2: (Sc, Inc) x6 [18]
R3: (Sc 2, Inc) x6 [24]
R4: (Sc 3, Inc) x6 [30]
R5: (Sc 4, Inc) x6 [36]
R6: (Sc 5, Inc) x6 [42]
R7: Sc 3, Inc, (Sc 6, Inc) x5, Sc 3 [48]
R8-20: Sc around [48]
R21: (Sc 6, Dec) x6 [42]
R22: (Sc 5, Dec) x6 [36]
R23: (Sc 4, Dec) x6 [30]
R24: (Sc 3, Dec) x6 [24]

Stop here and stuff the piece

R25: (Sc 2, Dec) x6 [18]

Stop here and cut the yarn leaving about 4 inches. Pull out the loop and set aside.

Body
The body is made by crocheting each leg individually and then crocheting them together and working up the body.

1st leg
Using Black, Mc 6
R1: Sc around [6]
R2: (Sc, Inc) x3 [9]
R3: Sc around [9]
R4: (Sc 2, Inc) x3 [12]
R5: Sc around [12]

Cut the yarn leaving a few inches for securing later. Pull out the loop and put this leg off to the side.

2nd Leg
Repeat instructions for the first leg but do not cut the yarn.
R6: Instead of continuing crocheting on the leg you are working on, pick up the first leg that was made and begin crocheting in the next open stitch from where you left off. Sc around both legs to attach both of them together [24]
R7: (Sc 5, Inc) x4 [28]
R8-13: Sc around [28]
R14: (Sc 5, dec) x4 [24]
R15-16: Sc around [24]
Stop here and stuff the legs and most of the body
R17: (Sc 4, dec) x4 [20]
R18-19: Sc around [20]
R20: (Sc 3, dec) x4 [16]
R21: Sc around [16]

Horn (make 2)
The horn is made by crocheting two “bumps” separately and then crocheting them together.

Bump 1:
Using White, Mc 6
R1-3: Sc around [6]

Cut the yarn leaving a few inches for sewing up. Pull out the yarn and set to the side

Bump 2:
Using White, Mc 6
R1-2: Sc around [6]
R3: Instead of cutting the yarn this time, Sc around the first bump made and the second bump [12]
R4: Sc around
R5: Sc 3, hdc 2, Sc 7 [12]
R6: Sc 3, dec, Sc 4, inc, Sc 2 [12]
R7-8: Sc 3, hdc 2, Sc 7 [12]
R9: Sc 4, dec, Sc 4, inc, Sc [12]
R10-11: Sc 4, hdc 2, Sc 6 [12]
R12: Sc 4, dec, Sc 5, inc [12]
R13: Sc 4, hdc 3, Sc 5 [12]
R14: Sc 5, hdc 2, Sc 5 [12]
R15: inc, Sc 5, dec, Sc 4 [12]
R16: Sc 6, hdc 4, Sc 2 [12]
R17: slst 4, Sc 2, hdc 4, Sc 2 [12]

Cut the yarn leaving 5 inches for sewing in. Pull out the loop. Then make the second horn

Cape.
The cape is made by working back and forth in rows.
Using Granite Grey, Ch 20
R1: Sc down the chain, ch and turn [19]
R2: in BLO, Sc 18, ch 2, turn
R3: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, Sc, then in BLO Sc 18, Ch and turn

Repeat R2 and R3 until there are 15 “points” or enough to wrap around the body with an inch of overlap. Cut the yarn leaving about 8 inches for sewing in. Pull out the loop.

ASSEMBLE
Sew the body to the head with the black yarn and stuffing the neck area for support before seaming up.

Position and attach the horns, using the legs as a guide.
Wrap the cape around the neck and sew it on with some overlap at the front of the body so the legs are slightly showing.

Cut out the eyes out of felt. The eyes are a circle with a diameter of an inch and a quarter (33mm). Sew in using a sewing needle and black thread.
