Using Green, Ch 11
Starting in 2nd Ch from hook, slst 4, in next stitch crochet 3 hdc, in the next 2 stitches slst in each, in the next crochet 2 hdc, in the next crochet 2 DC, in the next crochet 2 DC.
You should now have finished your row of chains, turn the piece and work down the other side of the chain.
in the first ch crochet 2 DC, in the next crochet 2 DC, in the next, crochet 2 hdc, in the next two stitches slst in each, in the next crochet 3 hdc, in the remaining 4 stitches slst in each.
Cut the yarn leaving a few inches. Pull out the loop and set aside.
Body
Using White make a slip knot and chain 2, Sc 6 in 2nd ch from hook
R1: Inc x6 [12]
R2: (Sc, Inc) x6 [18]
R3: (Sc 2, Inc) x6 [24]
R4-6: Sc around [24]
R7: (Sc 2, Dec) x6 [18]
R8: Sc around [18]
R9: (Sc, Dec) x6 [12]
R10: Sc around [12]
Stop here and place the eyes 4 "holes" apart and between round 5 and 6. Embroider the mouth and the eyebrows.
Sew the leaves in to the top of the head, tying on the inside and tucking the excess yarn into the piece.
Stuff the piece.
R11: Dec x6 [6]
Stuff a little extra.
Finish off by cutting the yarn leaving a few inches. Pull out the loop. Using the yarn needle, pick up the remaining (6) front loops only pulling tight along the way. Push the yarn through the closed hole and out the side of the piece. Trim the excess and squish.
