Cut the yarn, pull out the loop and bind off by using a needle to pick up the remaining 6 stitches. Push the yarn through the piece and trim the excess.
Feet
Using the smaller yarn and hook
Make a slip knot and Ch 4
Starting in 2nd Ch from hook, Slst 3 down the chain
Ch 4, then starting in 2nd Ch from hook, Slst 3 down the chain
Ch 4, then starting in 2nd Ch from hook, Slst 3 down the chain
To finish off, put your hook into the base of the 2nd "finger" and pick up a loop, then put the hook into the base of the first "finger" made and pull up a loop. Finally yarn over and pull through all three loops on your hook.
Cut the yarn leaving a few inches for sewing in and pull out the loop.
Beak
Using the smaller yarn and hook,
Mc 4 (if you are using chunky yarn, make a slip knot and ch 2 then Sc 4 in 2nd Ch from hook

R2: Inc, Sc 3 [5]
R3: Sc around [5]
R4: Inc, Sc 4 [6]
R5: Sc 6 [6]

If you are using chunky yarn do another round of single crochet
Cut the yarn leaving enough for sewing in, pull out the loop.
Assemble by first positioning the eyes on the front of the piece between rounds 4+5 and 3 "holes" apart. Then sew in the beak and feet using the eyes as a guide. Finally glue in the eyes and add the whites around the eyes by sewing the white around the outside of the eye. Trim all the remaining tails and let the eyes dry.
