Integrating the Tap Forms Forum with Tap Forms 5 using TamperMonkey
In this stream of conscious video, I show you the process I took to add a “Add To DO” link to my forum posts on the Tap Forms forum. This is the end to end process of isolating an element to attach our new link, figuring out how to get the content, building a TamperMonkey script to handle that and importing to CouchDB. I talk a little about working around Content Security Policies, or CSP, to be able to integrate with a local CouchDB instance.
This was a look at the behind the scenes process, unfiltered and untested. There are dead ends, mistakes and issues along the way. It means you get to see debugging as I encounter the issues and figure out how to fix them.
