Visiting Pamukkale cotton castle
Hi travellers,
This video shows visiting the travertine or Pamukkale cotton castle. Does it look like Instagram? I went during the off season and had stayed overnight so could be there early before the tour busses arrived. I definitely recommend doing it that way.
It would be best to carry a small backpack to shove your shoes in and to be handsfree. Plus it's best to carry sunscreen and a hat. I started from the town entrance and paid 200lira entrance fee.
Once you get to the top is the museum, which is also included in your entrance fee and there is Cleopatra pool (this costs extra). I enjoyed walking around the ruins of Hierapolis at the top, it's a bit of walk, but it's all flat.
