Canard RC 1600 / Tail Fin
A characteristic feature of the Canard configuration is the location of the fin and wing in one part of the aircraft. The logical solution in this situation was to combine them into one structure, while ensuring its disassembly, necessary for ease of transportation and storage of the model. The tail fin itself is made of a single layer of 5 mm thick foam and reinforced with two wooden slats, which makes it lightweight and at the same time quite durable. Through an eye glued with supported on one of the wooden slats, the fin is connected to the wing using two screws. The entire system is attached to the fuselage using rubber rings, which soften strong shocks during landings and accidents. During the entire testing period, the fin and wing did not receive any serious damage requiring repair, which is also due to this configuration feature.
