The angle of incidence is one of the main factors determining the amount of lift and drag created by the airfoil. To minimize the aerodynamic drag of the aircraft, the angle of incidence is chosen approximately equal to the angle of attack of the wing in the main flight mode. This also helps to significantly reduce the asymmetry of the propeller thrust and, as a result, flying in a slip. This happens because the axis of rotation of the propeller, which often coincides with the longitudinal axis of the aircraft, may not coincide with the direction of the incoming air flow, and one propeller blade may have a greater angle of attack than the other. At the same time, the thrust developed by the blades is also different, which leads to drift to the side. This is where the mounting angle comes to the rescue, that is, the plane will fly absolutely horizontally, and the angle of attack of the wing will be, for example, 1.5 degrees, which will be enough to maintain horizontal flight in the main throttle mode. At the same time, the takeoff and landing characteristics of the aircraft model will noticeably improve after its modification.
