The best way to improve your surfing is to actually go surfing. But, for those days when you can't make it to the ocean, you can still become a better surfer by learning how to train for surfing in the gym or at home. Dryland training can really help improve your breath hold and endurance for those challenging days out in the water.
In this video, fitness coach Holly Knearem shares three exercises inspired by real life surf sessions, that you can add to any gym routine to become a better surfer. Based on improving breath holding capabilities, these three exercises will help you to be more prepared, confident and relaxed during your surf session.
