dodge ram fuel system depressurize part 1
to relieve the pressure on the dodge ram year model 2000, follow these steps...
1 allow the engine to cool
2 find and remove the fuel system relay in the engine compartment fuse box
3. using the vehicle keyswitch, attempt to start the vehicle 3 times
this will alleviate most of the fuel system pressure.
optional:
direclty power fuel injector for no more than 2 seconds at a time to allow any remaining fuel pressure to dissapate.
4. remove the steel clip retaining the fuel like to the fuel rail
5. use special plastic sleeve tool to disengage locking teeth on fuel line
note: if it does not work right away, rotate sleeve slightly and try again. sometimes the teeth align in the sleeve groove and prevent release
