11 Morro Bay
Coming into Morrow Bay was SHALLOW! The sandy bottom has a narrow trench dredged into the middle of the channel to allow boats in. We've gotten pretty good at anchoring in these tight nooks with boats everywhere; we use a rangefinder because I just cannot accurately guess distance over water.
Anyway, Morro Bay was awesome! Full of fluffy otters, and with a nice little beach for the Captain to surf. The diversity of life in the Bay was a great reprieve from our journey sailing down the coast. Turns out Morro Bay was the start of where things got a little easier, warmer, and the ocean temperatures started rising!
