Hollywood Boulevard is a Los Angeles cultural icon, with museums, landmarks and many Hollywood attractions. All part of Los Angeles’ history as the center of the entertainment industry. The blvd. has seen a revival as new hotels, apartments and restaurants have restored some of the lost luster. Today Hollywood Blvd is a mix of old and new where visitors might find a bit if Hollywood’s magic still lives.
Hollywood Boulevard is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Los Angeles. The section of Hollywood Blvd that runs between La Brea Ave. and Vine Street is lined with famous landmarks including the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the famous footprints at Grauman’s Chinese Theater and Musso and Frank’s restaurant. This is the heart of old Hollywood.
A major tourist attraction the street has it’s share of T-shirt souvenir shops and tourist bars. The Boulevard is the center of movie history and despite its some what shabby presentation you and the family can enjoy a rewarding visit.
Hollywood Boulevard has undergone massive changes in the past century, but its popularity and history remains. Grand Movie Places, Theaters and other architectural gems from its golden age still line Hollywood’s famous boulevard today.
Between 1915 and 1935 Hollywood Boulevard was transformed from a street lined with stately Victorian homes to a commercial center, the center of the entertainment industry, and a bustling tourist destination.
