Earth is getting a new Moon?
Earth is about to get a temporary new moon! Starting on September 29th and lasting until November 25th, 2024, a small asteroid named 2024 PT5 will be pulled in by Earth’s gravity and become a "mini-moon." This asteroid comes from the Arjuna group, which has orbits very close to Earth. Although it's fascinating, this mini-moon is only a few meters wide, so unfortunately, we won’t be able to see it with the naked eye.
