In this video, I'd like to tell you a quick phrase that will help you when you’re doing something or trying to say something, and you need the other person to be patient.
This phrase is “bear with me.”
“Bear with me” is really useful in a few of different situations.
Imagine, you’re on a conference call, and your looking through a report, looking for some information. You want the other person to wait, so you say, “bear with me while I find this.”
Another example...You’re trying to say something in English, and you can’t remember a word. Maybe you check your dictionary, or maybe you just try hard to think of the word.
While you’re trying to figure out the word, you say, “bear with me.”
Try this next time you are in one of those situations, ok?
I hope it helps you!
Is this easy or difficult?
