Dot3D to MeshLab | PLY Import Workflow
This brief tutorial demonstrates the simple process of opening a Dot3D scan file directly in MeshLab via Dot3D's direct PLY point cloud export.
Simply export the PLY file straight from Dot3D (with the boxes checked for "Include Vertex Normals" and "Include Fields for FSSR") and then open directly in MeshLab via File/Import Mesh.
NOTE: Dot3D's PLY export is still a point cloud, not a mesh. To covert to a mesh, take it somewhere like Meshlab!
