📘 What is CIPA?
The CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) is an internal mechanism that works to prevent accidents and work-related illnesses, collaborating with the SESMT (Specialized Service in Occupational Safety Engineering and Medicine).
It is composed of representatives of the employer and employees, promoting dialogue, preventive oversight, and continuous improvement of working conditions.
The CIPA must be established at each establishment, and its size follows Table I of NR-5.
⚖ Stability and Term of Office
One-year term, with the possibility of one re-election.
Stability from the registration of candidacy until one year after the end of the term.
Stability valid for elected members (full and alternate members).
Does not apply in case of dismissal for just cause.
