Recording Electric guitar like a pro! beginner's guide
In this video we see how to record electric guitar: home recording made easy for you without any knowledge of,music production.
I've wasted hours of my life redoing what were great takes that were too quiet to use or great stems ruined by sloppy playing. But I learnt better and I want to share this knowledge with all my fellow guitarists and aspiring producers.
Recording guitar at home is easy if you have these three things:
Audio interface
Headphones
DAW (digital audio workstation)
And a guitar and a jack cable of course hahaha
Key take aways:
1. tune your guitar
2. set your preamp to between -24db and -12db
3. choose your guitar tone
4. reduce latency
5. use a metronome or a percussion sample to keep time
6. Do 3 takes
7. that's it!
