A shaker, Bass synth, drum sequencer, electric piano and a synth string sound. Managed to pull it off this time!! Presonus Studio One is th DAW I am used to but will try with logic pro next time for extra challenge!
I Setting myself these beatmaking challenges is a good practise for streamlining my studio work flow as this is often how I start off my Elephant Trainer songs. I used to spend weeks composing a track when I first started 'producing'. During lockdown I got it down to a weekend, then a day then 2 hours. Of course there is still the actually finishing off the song i.e. mixing and actually releasing it. But baby steps :) :) :)
I got a bit lost choosing the bass sound, but managed to finish with 20 seconds to spare this time.
Lesson learned today was make decisions quickly and don't wast time doubting them: you can always circle back to them once the creative work is complete.
