Sasebo Aikikai
I’ve been training in Sasebo for the last 3-4 years. This taijustu dojo is one of the oldest dojos in Japan outside of Hombu and Iwama. The first American to ever train in Japan was introduced to OSensei at Hombu by the first Sensei of this dojo. He trained here shortly after WWII. The head Instructor is a 7th Dan Shihan who is the third head instructor to lead this dojo. I train 4 days a week with 6 5th Dans, 8 4th dans and a variety of other 3 Dans and under. The have strict rules the prohibit any videos on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform. For years I have and will continue to respect their wishes. This is a news report that was recently filmed and broadcast here in Nagasaski to highlight the dojo’s practice bringing all of their dojo’s together for one day of training.
