Ridgecrest Community Garden Continues to Support Resiliency and Accessibility
We recently had the opportunity to reconnect with our friends at Ridgecrest Community Garden. This for-the-people, by-the-people garden promotes self-sustainable living, provides fresh organic produce, and increases conscious nutritional awareness in one of the oldest and poorest neighborhoods in Ridgecrest, CA.
In 2021, Mountain Rose Herbs gave a $5,000 grant to Ridgecrest Community Garden through our #Grants4Plants program to add an Herbal Zen Garden. During the pandemic, the herb garden became a way of connecting to the community’s roots as a unit and family, increasing people’s awareness of medicinal herbs and trees, and offering a safe place to teach and learn about herbal practices. We are so honored to be part of this project!
