Feeding & Fighting Mites
The dearth is on and feeding the bees and fighting mites has become important. So I will show you the pollen patties and my new system of adding sugar water to the hives.
The tank on the ATV is a 25 gallon spray tank purchased the local Tractor Supply. What a great system instead of carrying 1 gallon plastic milk jugs.
I also add hop guard to some of the hives that still have large number of bees. This is on top of OA treatments as mite counts done the day before showed mites are rising. This will get a handle on these pest.
