Hive 1 downsize
I am at the Cypress Creek Apiary working the hives and prepping for cooler days coming. Hive 1 needs to be downsized from a deep and three mediums to a deep and one medium.
I remove the frames that are empty which removes one medium box, then consolidate the bees into a deep and a medium that is almost full of food and feed the bees 1-1 sugar water so they can draw out any frames that need it..
Next feeding changes to 2-1 sugar water as well as pollen patties to give them food and nutrients they need with the pollen patty that has it added into the mixture.
