Winter Garden Commission Meeting -- Feb. 8, 2024
Winter Garden City Commission unanimously passes Resolution 24-04 designating East Winter Garden a historic area and renaming the neighborhood "Historic East Winter Garden," reflecting the will of the residents and the area's rich history. Way-finding signage and pole signage is forthcoming and a website will be unveiled soon.
Tucker Ranch site plan approved.
Four police officers were sworn-in by Police Chief Steve Graham.
Bouler Pool in Historic East Winter Garden received approval for refurbishment ahead of summer. Cost: $90,200.
Approval received for the purchase of two ambulances and the sale/disposal of surplus vehicles.
City approved purchase of three properties: 813 E. Bay St. ($250,000); 681 W. Plant St. ($1,249,268); S. Highland Ave. and Tremaine St. ($1,500,000)
