What is the World Wide Web?
The world wide web is like the “library of the Internet”. Although the library is very well organized, the world wide web is a web of computers sharing information through the Internet. The library is a collection of books while the World Wide Web is a collection of Websites composed of HTML documents, images, videos, animations, and audio files that are linked to each other and accessed over the internet. If the catalog is used to find exactly where the book is located in the library, the URL or Uniform Resource Locator, or simply web address, is used to find the location of the information in the world wide web. It is like a home address. The web address will lead you exactly where the website is. That is what the World Wide Web is.
