What is a browser?
A browser is like a microscope. A microscope is an instrument to see small objects that cannot be seen just by the naked eye. Without the microscope there is no way to see those objects.
Just the same, the browser is used to view websites and search engines. Without the browser, there is no way for you to views these websites or search through the search engine.
Browsers such as Internet Explorer (now Edge), Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera allow you to view any websites, makes sure the links to another web page works, and that all the animations, videos, and sound works.
That is the function of a browser.
