What happens when computer is turned on (Boot Process)
1. Boot Process - sequence of events that occurs between the time the computer is turned on and the time when windows log in screen is seen
2. Bootstrap program - is a special program in ROM that receives power and begins the boot process
a. Turn On PC
b. Boot program starts and begins POST
c. When all devices are fine, it checks boot disk and loads the operating system into RAM
