What to pray when I'm stuck in the mud and sinking

Psalm 40 teaches us to call out to God when we feel trapped and overwhelmed, and to trust that He will lift us out of the mud and the pit. It reminds us that God hears us, sets our feet on a rock, and makes us steady again. Pray for deliverance, patience to wait on Him, a firm faith, and a new song in your heart—even while you are still going through difficult times.
