Are The Good Times Really Over - Merle Haggard - Variation by Jeff Cooper
This is DIFFERENT so keep an open mind. I like all kinds of music and a month (or so) ago I was going to do this, then I remembered I did it already, so, just to add a new flavor to the song I took it in a different direction and gave it a Blues flare. I did all the audio first just to see if it was workable, liked it and continued on with several video parts (including Merle's Live version) then layed, cut & pasted it all together to come up with what you see. The video starts with the traditional versions before is segways into my finished version, in an up-tempo blues style. Hopefully Merle won't come knocking on my door to punch me for doing it this way, I just say this is a "What If It Were Done This Way" version that was on one of his LPs. (by him of course, I'm just a rookie doing what I like to do) Hopefully ya'all will enjoy this variation.....
