Why did Jesus come?
Why did Jesus come? In 2 Timothy 2:10, we read "Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory." We can see here that He came here for salvation. We can only have hope for what it offers by being baptized in Jesus' death.
