The lecture "Learning from Nature's Example – Artificial Photosynthesis Made in Ulm" took place on June 10, 2024, as part of the thematic lecture series "Artificial Photosynthesis" offered by the Studium Generale program at the University of Ulm in cooperation with the Collaborative Research Center CATALIGHT.
The photosynthesis of green plants uses sunlight to split water and bind CO2. Inspired by this fantastic reaction, we have developed light-driven artificial catalysts to split water into oxygen and hydrogen. We will take you on our research journey into the fascinating world of light-driven molecular powerhouses. Our latest findings on repairing such catalysts pave the way for a sun-filled future.
