Tagging Building Elements for Precise Area Calculations in SketchUp.
In the previous video, we have demonstrated how to obtain areas by selecting tags in SketchUp. Now, we need to tag each element of the building model according to our area table. We create tags for walls, openings, reveals, sills, columns, etc. Then, we select specific faces and assign them to the appropriate tags. This process helps in reconstruction works by determining material quantities and area calculations. Once all elements are tagged, we save the model for future use in area calculations.
