"Quaoar" by ViPriN & more (Extreme Demon) [Geometry Dash]
I want to start off by saying that, without my experience bias, this is one of my favorite levels in the game. I've loved the level and wanted to do it ever since I saw previews of it, and of course to top it all off it uses one of my favorite songs. But even with all of that going for this level, playing it has been one of the worst experiences I've had with this game. Learning the level was a blast, but every moment after that was absolutely infuriating. The level is absolutely filled to the brim with chokepoints (like 14-15%, 19-20%, 41%, the entirety of Flash's part... need I say more?) and every death felt stupid and almost undeserved. I'm sure a lot of my hatred towards the gameplay came down to my horrible luck, but that doesn't change the fact that this level made me very upset several times. To make matters worse, I had to basically beat it twice, since on my first time beating it (the day before my rebeat), my game crashed on the endscreen, THE MOMENT I HIT THE END WALL. Several people I talked to said that it could count as legit, but I just know there are several others out there who wouldn't, so if I were to just hack it after that there would be a ton of people calling me a cheater and stuff like that. That whole endeavor made the second completion (where the game decided to ACTUALLY FUNCTION) much less satisfying, but in the end I ws just glad to be done with the level, for real this time.
Even though I had a worse time with this level than the likes of Bloodbath or Thanatophobia (two other levels I also hated playing), it's still a fantastic level. I can tell everyone involved put a lot of effort into making this a work of art, and I'd say that if the gameplay was more polished, it would even be a masterpiece. I doubt many people who play this level would have as bad of an experience as I did, so don't let everything I've said keep you from trying out this level if you have the skill. I still adore the level itself, but unfortunately my experience with it will likely forever leave a sour taste as well.
