Robert Fuchs (Feb 15, 1847 - Feb 19, 1927) was an Austrian composer and music teacher. He studied, and would later go on to teach, at the Vienna Conservatory. Fuchs lived a quiet life and did little to promote his compositions. He refused to arrange concerts at times. During his tenure as a professor at the Vienna Conservatory he taught many pupils who'd go one to become great composers in their own right including Gustav Mahler and Jean Sibelius.
This piece is the 2nd of 22? pieces from his Op. 32 work Jugendklänge.
