This session with Gilary Massa examines the rise and intersecting nature of racism, misogyny, and Islamophobia in Alberta and Canada, exploring how institutions aimed at protecting us might better respond to the rise in racially motivated hate and deliver an action-oriented vision for what a more racially equal and gender-just democracy might look like.
This presentation was held on November 19, 2022, as part of Parkland Institute’s 26th Annual Conference, “Doing Democracy Better.”
