This video reviews the Fmax test and works through several examples of how it works.

Two step-by-step examples are described.
The first example returns a nonsignificant result, meaning the population variances appear equal.
The second example returns a significant result, meaning at least one population variance differs from at least one other.
An example of transforming this data set into a new data set with equal variances is then shown.

This test is commonly used to determine if a group of population variances are equal or not in preparation for an ANOVA.
