TECHNIQUE OF MEDITATION ON THE QUALITIES OF
THE BUDDHA (BUDDHA-NUSSATI)
The Royal College of the Assumption, on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 70th Birthday Anniversary in 2022, has committed itself to the royal question posed to the Sangha on April 8, 2021, "How can we promote the teaching of Pali to reach the Tipitaka?"
On April 6, 2022, His Majesty the King graciously donated 100 million baht of his personal funds to the construction project and bestowed the name "Maha Vajiralongkorn Pali Theravada Rajavidyalaya," meaning "the royal college that provides the study of Pali Theravada scriptures during the reign of King Maha Vajiralongkorn."
This will be the first royal college for novices in Thailand, offering courses. "Pali Sakya Siha Samanera College" (Pali English Program) offers programs from basic to secondary level, continuing education to doctoral degrees.
This college offers study of the Pali Tipitaka, commentaries, and commentaries, etc., and cultivates religious heirs from a young age to ensure a genuine understanding of the Tipitaka. This includes training the mind and developing wisdom through meditation and propagating Buddhism internationally. International Pali Siha Samanera College is the first institution for novice monks in Thailand.
Established with faith and belief,
We believe that Pariyatti is the lasting foundation of the Dhamma.
We believe that Pariyatti is the study of Pali Tipitaka.
We believe that the Pariyatti lineage must begin with the ancient Pali Satthavises scriptures.
We believe that if we begin to cultivate novice monks as religious heirs this year, they will be the ones who will continue our work in religion in 20 years.
We believe that if we promote the teaching of ancient Pali Satthavises scriptures combined with basic knowledge in English, today's novice monks will become future Mahatheras, leading Thai monks to the international stage.
"Pali Pariyatti Lineage" (Pali lineage): Studying according to the Pali scripture family. We will continue to move forward with the power of the faith of the Buddhist community.
