FULL BODY STRETCH
You can do this routine post-workout or anytime to loosen tight muscles.

1. Standing Forward Bend (Hamstrings, Lower Back)
How to do it: Stand with feet hip-width apart, bend forward from your hips, and let your head and arms hang toward the floor. Bend your knees slightly if needed. Hold for 30 seconds.
Focus: Stretching the hamstrings and lower back.
Modification: Bend your knees more if your hamstrings are tight.
2. Side Stretch (Obliques, Shoulders)
How to do it: Stand tall, reach one arm overhead and lean to the opposite side, keeping your hips facing forward. Hold for 20-30 seconds on each side.
Focus: Stretching the side body and shoulders.
Modification: Place the opposite hand on your hip for extra support.
3. Chest Opener (Chest, Shoulders)
How to do it: Interlace your fingers behind your back and straighten your arms. Lift your chest upward and squeeze your shoulder blades together. Hold for 30 seconds.
Focus: Opening the chest and stretching the front of the shoulders.
Modification: If you can't clasp your hands, use a towel to hold between them.
4. Cat-Cow Stretch (Spine, Back)
How to do it: Start on all fours with your hands under your shoulders and knees under your hips. Inhale as you arch your back (Cow), lifting your head and tailbone. Exhale as you round your back (Cat), tucking your chin and tailbone. Repeat for 8-10 breaths.
Focus: Stretching the spine and improving mobility.
Modification: Move slowly if you have back discomfort.
5. Child’s Pose (Back, Hips)
How to do it: Kneel on the floor, sit back on your heels, and extend your arms forward, lowering your forehead to the mat. Hold for 30-60 seconds.
Focus: Stretching the lower back, hips, and shoulders.
Modification: Place a pillow under your chest for added support.
6. Seated Forward Fold (Hamstrings, Back)
How to do it: Sit with your legs extended in front of you. Reach forward towards your feet, keeping your back straight. Hold for 30 seconds.
Focus: Stretching the hamstrings and lower back.
Modification: Use a yoga strap or towel to help reach your feet.
7. Figure-Four Stretch (Hips, Glutes)
How to do it: Lie on your back with your knees bent. Cross your right ankle over your left knee, then pull your left thigh toward you, holding behind the knee. Hold for 30 seconds, then switch sides.
Focus: Stretching the hips and glutes.
Modification: Keep the other foot on the ground if pulling the leg is too intense.
8. Cobra Stretch (Abs, Chest)
How to do it: Lie face down with your hands under your shoulders. Press into your hands and lift your chest off the floor, keeping your elbows slightly bent. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
Focus: Stretching the abdomen, chest, and lower back.
Modification: Lower onto your forearms for a gentler stretch (Sphinx pose).
9. Quad Stretch (Quadriceps, Hip Flexors)
How to do it: Stand or lie on your side and pull one foot toward your glutes, holding your ankle. Keep your knees together and push your hips slightly forward. Hold for 30 seconds on each side.
Focus: Stretching the quads and hip flexors.
Modification: Use a chair or wall for balance if standing.
10. Butterfly Stretch (Inner Thighs, Hips)
How to do it: Sit with your feet together and your knees bent out to the sides. Hold your feet and gently press your knees toward the floor. Hold for 30 seconds.
Focus: Stretching the inner thighs and hips.
Modification: Sit on a cushion if your hips are tight.
11. Upper Back Stretch (Shoulders, Upper Back)
How to do it: Cross your right arm across your chest and use your left hand to gently pull it closer. Hold for 20-30 seconds, then switch arms.
Focus: Stretching the upper back and shoulders.
Modification: Keep the pulling hand closer to your elbow for a gentler stretch.
12. Neck Stretch (Neck, Shoulders)
How to do it: Sit or stand tall. Gently tilt your head to one side, bringing your ear toward your shoulder. Use your hand to apply light pressure if needed. Hold for 20-30 seconds, then switch sides.
Focus: Stretching the neck and releasing tension in the shoulders.
Modification: Avoid pulling too hard on your head; just a gentle stretch is enough.
This full-body stretch routine helps release tightness and improve flexibility throughout your entire body. Perform each stretch slowly and hold each position, focusing on breathing deeply to enhance the stretch and relaxation. Adjust the stretches based on your flexibility level.
