Official US Government trinkets for trading with natives
This Survival KIT, FLYER'S TRADING was issued by the Army Air Forces in WWII. It is very rare. Here's the label information for this one designed for areas where there are "primative natives."

That big ugly brown thing turns out to be a twist of tobacco: also included is a book of matches. the tobacco can be burned, chewed and sniffed as snuff (if you grind it up).
