'statues of bone flowers', for cello and violin, was premiered by the GAIA duo (Katrina Lee - violin and Alice Allen - cello). The piece was commissioned by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as part of the PLUG Festival 2023. I wove together themes from canon composers and hid them throughout the piece. Much of the piece is about coming in and out of depression and wanting to define my own relationship to the canon.
