17th International Tchaikovsky Competition (Introduction)
The 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition is happening
right now from June 19th to July 1st in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia.
It is held every four years, like Olympic Game. It includes categories of
piano, violin, cello, voice, woodwind and brass.
The first prize winner of each
category will be awarded $30,000 cash prize and a golden medal. Additionally,
one Grand Prix winner may be chosen from all categories first-prize winners,
the prize is $100,000.
