Describing Quadratic Transformations
In this video we review function notation for function transformations and discuss the meaning of the a, b, h, and k. We then work to convert 5 quadratic equations into function notation and describe the transformations of the parent (basic) quadratic function. Desmos is used to show the transformations. The last example reviews completing the square to reveal the transformations. These questions are typically found in Pre-Calculus 12 in the BC Canadian math curriculum.
